God is not a good Samaritan

i don't start threads very often, but yesterday i had something of an epiphany as i was doing some work in the yard.

deep in thought, as i usually am when doing mundane tasks, it occurred to me that while jesus encouraged us to be "good samaritans", god himself is not a good samaritan.

in the parable by jesus, a traveler is left beaten and robbed on the side of the road.

i hear quite a bit of criticism about jehovah's witnesses enforcing 1 corinthians 5:9-13. while jehovah's witnesses have a formal system of maintaining the organization's core values; egocentric, self-worshiping secularists have an informal system of rejecting those of whom they have nothing in common with.

I can't be bothered to read all of this call me lazy. But what i find remarkable is that off hand I can think of three sisters in the congregation who have been disfellowshipped three times some have three kids from different fathers. Shunning disfellowshipping doesn't work. Raised from infants as witnesses shagged silly as adults always in the truth.

At the time of Jesus they were divorceing their wives for talking to another man, Jesus said who ever looks at another woman has committed adultery, How many women haven't I looked at with a passion. Yet never shunned. where am i heading

Was Pastor Russell an apostate?

pastor russell believed that the "nominal church" was "god's mouthpiece" "god's recognized channel of truth" in 1881 in the watchtower he explained how he and others (maybe some of the 1st half of the overlapping generation) felt "at liberty to call god's children out of the nominal churches to a position of freedom and liberty" based on the 2nd presence of christ.. jw's know that the 2nd presence did not start in 1874. those who thought it were mistaken.

like some of those same people who saw the fullfillment of matthew 24:30 for many years only to realize again they were mistaken in the belief.

the same ones (overlapping generation) who have clearly seen the composite sign now.. as god clearly hadn't rejected the "nominal church" because of there non acceptance of the 1874 seconding coming teaching?

Having been in error with his teachings. It does seem strange how JW's could label anyone as an apostate.
